Experience
Mr. Masoodul Hasan has worked with Union Bank of India and Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) for almost 30 years as law officer. He was also a practicing lawyer for more than 3 years at Lucknow, prior to joining bank/financial institution’s services.
Before retiring as Deputy General Manager (Legal) from SIDBI, his expertise includes due diligence in lending to corporates, drafting and reviewing loan documentation for project finance, infrastructure & joint financing, marketing, leasing and promotional and developmental activities etc. Also, he had opportunity to review documentation relating to international funding agencies such as World Bank, KFW, Germany etc.
He has special expertise in proceedings for recovery of debt under SIDBI Act and before Debt Recovery Tribunals (DRTs/DRATs) and understanding of laws relating to Securitisation, Insolvency Code and other related laws pertaining to Banks & Financial Institutions.
He was involved in drafting legislation for Amendment of SIDBI Act during 2000 and for another bill for amendment of said Act presented in Lok Sabha in 2012. He was also actively involved in incorporation in few of Associate Institutions of SIDBI viz: National Credit Guarantee Trustee Company (NCGTC) and MUDRA.
Mr. Hasan has also served as a Board Member of Maharashtra State Financial Corporation (MSFC) and was also a Member of Selection Committee for appointment of law officers in State Financial Corporation and in SIDBI.
Shri Hasan is also a Certified Mediator in Civil & Commercial matters from Ministry of Corporate Affairs, MCA, GoI.
Qualifications
- Graduation in Arts, B.A
- Graduation in Law, LL.B. (University of Allahabad)
