Experience
A.K. Mishra is a Senior Partner with Orbit Law Services. He has four decades of experience in the legal arena and is a leading expert in Banking and Infrastructure Project Finance, Corporate Laws, Corporate Debt Restructuring, Recovery Litigation, BIFR, Liquidation, IBC, DRT and DRAT, NCLT and NCLAT, High Court.
A.K. Mishra is presently, acting as an adviser to Banks & FIs, Resolution Professionals, Liquidator and CoCs.
A.K. Mishra had started his career in the year 1982 as an Advocate in the District Court at Puri in Odisha and later joined India’s leading public sector bank, namely State Bank of India as a law officer in the year 1987. After brief stint with State Bank of India, he joined Industrial Development Bank of India Limited in the year 1995 and later retired as General Manager (Legal) where he was instrumental in dealing with several Infrastructure Finance, Banking and Infrastructure Project Finance related documents, BIFR, Liquidation, CDR, Corporate and Recovery related matters pending before various high courts. He specializes in matters of restructuring relating to merger and demerger and IBC matters.
A.K. Mishra had been served as the Presiding Officer of Debts Recovery Tribunal at Kolkata from 2012 till 2017. He was also appointed as Presiding Officer, DRT Hyderabad between May 2015 and November 2016.
